Day 20 #REDJanuary 💪🏽 This is my lot today, leg day. Facing the mirror is especially difficult for me whilst working out - it brings back to mind all those comments from people over the years about my weight - whether it’s my butt being ‘a bit big’ or that my face was ‘bigger than most’, or my hair was too curly or my complexion wasn’t fair enough .. I let these comments seep into my psyche over the years. Isn’t that sad? Those of you wondering if you ever made a comment like that about me, it’s ok, no hard feelings. Instead, thank you - your comments are like kindling to my fire. I’m powering through and will achieve what I want. No hiding away.

Par plankingu jeb planku  sauc statisku vingrojumu, kurā pēc iespējas ilgāk jānoturas guļus balstā uz apakšdelmiem un kāju pirkstiem ar maksimāli iztaisnotu ķermeni. To savos treniņos bieži izmanto Latvijas ielu vingrotāji un sauc par vienu no labākajiem vingrojumiem, ar ko iespējams nostiprināt gandrīz visus ķermeņa muskuļus, tostarp dziļos muguras muskuļus, uz ko ar citiem vingrojumiem iedarboties ir grūti! . .
✖ Ja ne reizi neesi veicis īsto planku, varētu rasties maldīgs priekšstats, ka tas ir ārkārtīgi vienkāršs vingrojums. Parasti saka: "kā gan atrasties nekustīgā pozā varētu būt grūti un kāds no tā labums?" Pamēģini tā nostāvēt vismaz minūti un būsi pārsteigts! Tas prasa lielu spēku un izturību!
Veicot šo vingrinājumu Tu trennē gan kājas, gan muguras dziļos muskuļus, kā arī vēdera presi. Respektīvi, vari nošaut vairākus zaķus ar vienu šāvienu! . .
✖Cilvēki ir ļoti dažādi, bet iesācējam vajadzētu noturēt šo pozu vismaz minūti. Ja var divas trīs minūtes nostāvēt, tas jau ir ļoti labi.
