Happy national horse day! I am so grateful for kohl (first 5 photos) as he had taught me how to be a better rider, he has taught me how to train a horse, he has taught me how to show and be professional, and how to go on trail rides and have fun.
Thank you scout (6th photo) for teaching me me how to have fun, that not everything has to be work. You taught me how to show off to the judges, even if we only jumped 2.6.
Thank you legs (7th photo) for being my “first horse” you taught me how much work it was to own a horse, that I couldn’t just show up for my lesson. I learned I had to wake up at 6 to clean out your stall, I had to feed and water you before I could do anything else, you taught me that no matter how tired or sick you are, animals always come first. You taught me so many things, like how to ride, how to love a horse, how to make new friends, but most importantly you showed me that it shouldn’t have to take death to bring people closer together. When you passed away I didn’t know how I would make it, but luckily you helped me mend my old friendships and that got me through.
Last but not least, thank you buddy as you taught me how to jump, how to fall off and get right on, how to get a horse “show ready” and you taught me that if someone treats an animal the wrong way, you don’t just let it slide.
Thank you so much to all these amazing horses, and the rest of the amazing horses I have ridden in my lifetime. Each one of you played a special role in my and I will be forever thankful for that❤️
