To answer the question I was asked, "How do you love your body so much?" I want to start out with how thankful I am to be where I'm at, because I certainly used to hate everything about my body. I felt huge and disgusting at 90 pounds, you can't fix that by gaining weight. The person I was mentally at 90 pounds could NOT have been comfortable in my current body, so that shows that changing your body is not the answer to hate. The problem is beliefs and mentality, so there also lies the solution. Mental work. My mind has "worked out" far more than my body to get where I am today.
You can start today by deciding you want change. And recognize that any negative thoughts you associate with yourself are learned, you were not born uncomfortable in your skin and insecure of who you are! Someone or some thing has put this impression on you, and you accepted it. The great thing is, with work, you can unlearn lies and rewrite your perception of yourself. What do you WANT to believe about yourself? Replace any bad thought with this. "I'm disgusting-NO, I am absolutely amazing." Crowd out your old thoughts, bring your attention to them and destroy them. It's become a habit that you have to break. Look in the mirror and tell that reflection it is beautiful, it is good enough, it is worthy of love. Get comfortable with your flaws by telling yourself they are accepted and don't detract from your character, they add to it. Remove as many outer sources that tear you down as possible (media, negative talk, etc). When you're starting out, you'll need a safe environment.
Remember your appearance is only a tiny part of your body. Focus on being thankful for what your body can do, how it works, what it allows you to feel. It's hard to be grateful and resentful at the same time!
You can truly create any belief you want by reinforcing it, and this can become so strong that others can feel it too. I have taken on the mindset of being Wonder Woman. I know I'm not perfect, and that's okay! I'm still a superhero goddess and you are too. Or anything you want to be.
You love your body by removing everything we've accumulated by living in an unfair world. You have that power!
