Hello friends and family,
Happy FriYAYYY to you.
Thank you so much for all of your calls/texts/messages/cards/treats/etc.. I apologize for not being able to get back to each of you, so I though it might be easier to post here. I have been having some post-procedure challenges, BUT praying they dissipate soon.
If not, I will need to have another (#6) lumbar puncture next week. Only this time, it will not be to take out the cerebral spinal fluid, but to put my own blood into the injection site to "plug the puncture". It's called a blood patch. 😕 I am praying my body heals itself, as it's slow to heal, due to my compromised immune system. I am supposed to begin chemo 11/27 again, but I am pushing that back, due to these new challenges.
I've gained/retained 10 pounds of fluid with some other new issues (domino effect), so I am now seeing a 6th Clinic at Moffitt. G.I. 😱 Lucky number 6?! Perhaps I should play the lottery? 🤔
5. Pain Management
6. Gastroenterology 😑
Yesterday, I went for more labs/scans and once cleared by Cardiology, I will undergo further endoscopy/biopsy testing/etc.. over the next several weeks.
Well, here are some precious images of my beautiful family who surprised me with these little nuggets of joy. Each origami heart is handmade with love and a secret message inside, same with the bracelets. They were late to my recovery room because, as the nurse said, "Your family wants to finish making your special gifts in the Arts In Medicine Room, to make you smile and to remind you that you are loved. " IT MADE MY DAY/MONTH!
Have a blessed weekend with your loved ones and don't forget to not only tell them, but show them how much you love and appreciate them. At the end of the day, all you need is LOVE.
Love, Tina ❤️ •
