Listen -- I'm may not be the 'thinnest' or 'lightest' I've ever been, but I'm definitely the HAPPIEST + HEALTHIEST.
Happy and healthy are NOT defined by a size or number.
But, too often we find ourselves trying to bend and break our bodies to fit a certain mold. [Fitting into a certain jean size; hoping to see a particular number on the scale; depriving our bodies of the things we really want.] I'm going to be honest -- I'm guilty of doing those things in the past.
Because I thought that a certain jean size or number on the scale or eating salad for every meal would make me LOVE MYSELF more. I thought I'd be happy like all those insta-famous celebrities I was following.
The media -- social platforms, stores, ads -- they all 'validate' the exact things that made me feel frustrated + worthless because I was obsessing over them.
INSERT: self love + self care + self acceptance
Now, I'm HAPPY + HEALTHY.
I listen to my body + speak to it with love.
I have balance in my life + no longer stress as much.
I see the beauty in myself + in those around me.
Learning to LOVE myself.
Learning to CARE for myself.
Learning to ACCEPT myself.
Those are things that no size, number, or amount of deprivation can teach us.
You just have to learn it on your own. 💕
