“Rome wasn’t built in a day” is a huge thing we’ve learned ever since we started following our detour...
Important work, building a dream, personal growth, and sometimes life’s greatest blessings...they👏🏻 all 👏🏻take👏🏻 time!!! And as much as I hate being patient, God has been reminding me so much lately that “the wait” is the most important part of a journey.
We have some pretty darn big goals for ourselves and sometimes get upset that some of them haven’t happened yet. But then we look at everything we HAVE accomplished and know we will get there. It may take 5 years or 10 but we still have so much to experience and learn first! .
And let me just add, yesterday I counted that we’ve been waiting 2,244 days (6 years!!) to become parents, but I wouldn’t change it for the world. Holding our precious baby will be so worth it and knowing that I had time to work on myself and learn who I am and who I want to be was hugely important. I’ve been able to deeply reflect on the type of person and mom I want to be for my child. We had time to strengthen our marriage, chase a few dreams and discover new ones, and go on more adventures than many people can ever do in a lifetime.
In life, in business, in almost everything, good things just take time. But if you’re so focused on wanting to rush through it all, you might miss the important lessons along the way!
