Welcome to Salvador, Bahia in Brazil for my #TravelTuesday post.
During my 22 years in Real Estate, I have met some amazing people that are clients as well as colleagues that have become very special friends to me. Who would have thought that through #business so many true & lasting #friendships would blossom.
So some years ago I was hired to sell a #Brazilian family's home and we became such great friends that they invited me to spend time with them in their country of #Brazil.
The Capital Salvador is known for its historic center, Pelourinho, rich with 17th-century colonial architecture and perched above Baía de Todos os Santos (All Saints’ Bay). The city’s annual Carnaval celebration brings together flamboyantly costumed dancers with samba and axé music for a massive street party. I had so much fun with the towns people dancing Capoeira, and interacting with these Ladies dressed in their folkloric costumes, very beautiful.
Bahia is as big as Venezuela my country.
People are extremely friendly, polite and happy there. They have a saying that "In Bahia Everybody Smiles"
I had the privileged to taste most of their exotic and exquisite food, such as: Feijoada, Muqueca de Peixe, Acaraje, Coixinha de frango con queiso, Pamonha. Also tried some of their exotic fruits and Ice cream ( Sorvetes in Portugues). The beaches were amazing and I will never forget all the amazing people that I met, and the wonderful time I spent with them, they treated me like family.
#Bahia warmed my heart and I would go back in a heartbeat.
