Listen to your body❀️ Does it need a push, a nap, a stretch? After a hard week i needed a day to do some active recovery. Paddle boarding was a great way to do this. I am grateful for such beautiful surroundings and a body that lets me enjoy the activities that I love.🌿

Repeat this 3 more times.
Run 1 mile and then stretch for 10 minutes.

It’s steep and long but the scenery, the practice on my bike, the tired legs, the burning lungs, and the accomplishment are all worth it and keep me going! I don’t mind getting dirty. I’m glad our parents encouraged that practice when we were young. My kids find my old journals very entertaining πŸ˜‚ reading about how I was as a little girl and teenager. I have some journals that I share and some that I don’t. I write things like what and who I am grateful for and why. I write funny things my kids do or say. I write my concerns and fears, I write pros and cons of big decisions, big events or little every day happenings. This has saved me many times as my memory is not the greatest!πŸ€ͺ Journaling is also good for stress management. Writing down your feelings and thoughts can help you see things from more of an outside point of view.

Do you feel stuck at a certain fitness level? Have you plateaued and can’t seem to make any progress?
Here are some tips for you:
1. Maybe your goal is too broad or seems overwhelming. Narrow it down to the steps you will take to reach your goal and start there. This will change your mindset to make it feel more attainable.
2. Push yourself out of your comfort zone. If you usually run a 3 mile route at a certain pace, try running intervals. Speed up and slow down your pace from tree to tree.
3. Make it fun! Maybe you are bored with the same old same old. Try something new, a dance class, biking, swimming. Bring a friend and enjoy yourself.
