It’s that time of year again where, I tell Honey the story of a tiny mouse, turned bunny, who was actually a puppy, & became known as Honey.
Once upon a time there was tiniest of puppies, who had a brother & sister, who were so much bigger. .
She was born in the cold winter, sleeping in a junkyard with only her brother and sister. She tried to stay warm with all of her might, but metal & spark-plugs, didn’t keep her warm in the freezing nights. .
As weeks went by the puppy barely grew, but her brother and sister were double & that’s all she knew. .
Then one day a lady came, she picked up the pups & took them away. She took them to the vet, named her Spice, & vet made sure, everything was nice. .
The lady took her home, where she met a man, he put them in the tub & washed them by hand. He washed them again & again, each time he saw a little more of them. .
Once they were clean, they drink & ate, but for some reason, for the tiny pup, it just didn’t take. No matter what they tried it wouldn’t stay down, the pup would spit up & look up with a frown. .
The lady went back to the vet & was given bad news. So she went to a specialist to get a different view. She was told to put the tiny pup down, she had a rare condition & there’s no cure to be found. She’ll never survive, no matter what you do, just put her down, that’s the best thing to do. .
The lady went home & informed the man of what the vets said. He replayed, they’re talking to the wrong people, so get that out of your head. .
The lady was sad & told him she made a vow, a promise to the tiny pup, she would make it some how. So together they promised the pup & one another, they would fight for her. They would fight for each other. .
She had everything against her, a lots been left out, but that didn’t stop the pup & they never counted her out. Might Mouse, is what they called her. .
The Center of their world is what she became, & pup loved them, just the same. They adopted the pup, the lady & the man, but soon they were called mom & dad. .
My little bun, is what they would say. My bunny, my Honey is who she became...
Happy birthday, to my precious bun. Keep proving them wrong, keep fighting!
