We turn 3 years today, and my heart is so grateful we have made it to this day. This journey has not been easy, but it has been worth every effort, every challenge and every ounce of energy, and it’s all because each one of you continue to support me and my vision.
-
The last 15 months have been about my personal journey with #infertility, which inadvertently led me to temporarily step back from my work. However, if you are reading this now, it means you have continued to cheer us on, support our mission and believe in everything we are doing. So, from the bottom of my heart...I thank you for being a part of this journey!
-
We continue to grow slowly and organically. And I am grateful for the little milestones we’ve had these last 3 years and I am celebrating because of you all. That said, I’d like to share some of our achievements with you because we wouldn’t have been able to accomplish them without your continued support and faith in us.
Over the last 3 years:
*We have donated gifts, cash and in kind donations of our #stringofhope bracelets valued at over $8,000.
*Our online and social media community has grown to almost 21,000 followers across Facebook and IG combined.
*We partnered with several non-profit organizations, other socially conscious small businesses and individual advocates of mental health.
*We have organized 2 successful gathering events to create a safe space where people shared their stories and celebrated our community.
-
These early milestones inspire us to keep going. There’s still a lot of work to be done and I am committed to pursuing #linkofhearts mission. I will continue to grow this community to share hope, connect and raise awareness for #mentalillness, slowly but surely.. So for all your support and belief in us...once again...from my heart to yours, Thank You!
With love + gratitude, Elizabeth xo

Somehow, society has ingrained upon each one of us that, if we don’t stress about everything, we don’t care. If we don’t stay busy, we don’t care. If we don’t worry, we don’t care. So naturally, we stay busy, we stay stressed, we overthink things and we worry about everything, because it only means we care... but it doesn’t have to be this way. Maybe not everyone is like this but, sadly, I know I was for a long, long time. But now, I am learning, I am growing and my faith is getting stronger each day. I am learning to surrender and accept what is. I am practicing the art of letting go, and letting God handle the rest (but yes, easier said than done!).
-
We are in the second round of our #ivfjourney and my faith and patience are continuously being tested. So, as I was making these custom necklaces for @thirteen_main a couple of weeks ago, this became my daily mantra as I remind myself to let go and let God be my source of strength, wisdom and patience.
-
Whatever it is you’re going through, I wish guidance for you wherever you are now, and to be blessed with self-love, grace and wisdom. I will continue to pray for your strength to keep going, and never give up.
-
I will trust, that God is greater than my uncertainty. I will Let Go and Let God….
Who’s with me?

.
Inhale.
Exhale.
This is how you’ll go through it.
And take the time to care for yourself.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Just breathe,
And Be still.
It’s going to be okay.

And on weekends, it’s all about balance. ;)

{N E W} 💫Episode 072: Elizabeth Tiglao-Guss is the Founder of @LinkofHearts. She was one of the first people I discovered on social media whose business was centered around mental health. In this interview, she openly discusses her personal journey with depression and entrepreneurship. So much inspiration and wisdom in Elizabeth’s story! #WOWWcampaign 💛Below are ⑸ five quotes from this interview with Elizabeth Tiglao-Guss:
⓵“I learned to put on a face.”
⓶“I grew up in a culture where mental illness does not exist.”
⓷“My heart got bigger than my mind & my thoughts.”
⓸“I couldn’t help people because I couldn’t even help myself.”
⓹“It’s not like I was enlightened and then had that awareness; I still had to go through a lot of self-doubt.” 💛The @WOWWcampaign podcast can be found on iTunes, TuneIn, Stitcher, Google Play, iHeartRADIO & www.WOWWcampaign.com/Podcast {All Links in Bio}

Bravery is rarely about doing something bold. The most brave act is often a quiet, internal moment when we sit in great discomfort, close our eyes, and gently whisper, "I will stay”.

Challenges are inevitable. Rising up is optional. Loss is inevitable. Hardships are inevitable. Rising up is optional. Obstacles are inevitable. Rising up is always optional.
-
It’s my first day back at home from our Alaska trip, so I just had the chance to watch the @centralonline service today. Pastor Jud’s message focused on the spirit of #VegasStrong, and it resonated with me in many ways. So, I was inspired to write this message and share it with you.
-
Rising up is always an option for us, no matter how hard things may seem. And part of rising up is acknowledging your emotions and validating your feelings. Part of rising up is believing that what you are going through is real and there is no shame in it. Part of rising up is letting your emotions out with no judgment. Part of rising up is knowing when to ask help without embarrassment. Part of rising up is being okay for not being okay at times. Part of rising up is understanding that it is a process, and progress and healing are attained by slowly making small steps. Part of rising up is self care with no guilt and making time to give yourself a break, and rest.
-
It’s up to you. You can take the option to #RiseUp and strengthen your faith and believe that everything will be okay, even though it’s hard to believe sometimes. Trust that you are not alone in this. Trust God that HE is bigger than anything we tackle. Trust and believe. Hold on. Keep going. RISE UP.

Yes, you are... doing so much better than you realize!

We each have our own challenges to face, battles to overcome, lessons to learn and stories to tell. Most times, I know I get so caught up with these hardships and unanswered prayers in my life, not realizing that there is so much more to life that I’m missing.
-
These last three days in #Alaska, my husband and I have transformed back to being kids once again, with our eyes wandering around, ooo-ing and aaaah-ing over glaciers, mountains covered in snow, trees, clouds, fog, northern lights and so much more. It has truly been magical and I realize that this right here, is a true God’s gift.
-
I took this photo (not the greatest shot, but will forever cherish) while we were driving yesterday morning, right before I completely immersed myself in appreciating everything I was seeing, and right before I started crying. Tears of joy and gratitude filled my heart, because I realized that amidst the uphill battles, my #infertility issues, episodes of #anxiety and #depression, and many other challenges, there is so much to be thankful for. .. the little blessings in life we often take for granted are key to living life with a grateful heart.
-
So, I share this with you in the hopes of reminding you to acknowledge all your little blessings in life. Because no matter how difficult things may seem, there is always, something to be thankful for.
-
And today, I am thankful for this opportunity to travel to Alaska, for my husband who’s been my rock over the last 6 years, for the unconditional love and support of my family and true friends, for my overall good health, for our home, for our baby kitty, our warm bed and for simply opening my eyes and breathing today. I feel truly grateful.
-
What are you thankful for today?

#MentalIllnessAwarenessWeek
-
Courage doesn't always roar.
Sometimes courage is the little
voice at the end of the day that says,
I'll try again tomorrow.
[Mary Anne Radmacher]

It’s #MentalIllnessAwarenessWeek and I think it’s time to say hello, re-introduce myself and once again, share with you the mission behind our work. My name is Elizabeth, and I started #linkofhearts almost 3 years ago to raise awareness for #mentalillness, all based on my own story. I struggled from #depression, #anxiety and #bipolardisorder for almost 10 years of my life (which I continue to struggle with episodes to this day).
-
I know what it’s like to suffer alone in silence. I know what it’s like to wake up in the morning with a heavy heart without any idea why nor being able to get out of bed. I know what it’s like to put on a smiling face while crying deep inside (I have added a couple of my old photos in this post, when I was deep into my depression, showing the many “happy” faces I put on.). I know how it’s all like...So please know that, I see you. I hear you. I feel you.
-
And now, I would like to help. I am here to simply offer empathy and support in any way I can. Link of Hearts exists to share our story, connect and inspire anyone in need.
-
Mental Illness affects approximately 1 in 5 adults and children each year, yet the stigma remains strong. So, please join me to keep fighting it and let’s keep talking about it. No shame. No judgment. No stigma.
Just love, support and compassion.
