💄I was going to do a single post on my @bitebeauty collection, but that doesn’t really seem fair considering how much I love the brand. Bite is a clean beauty brand for people that want all of the choices and pigment of mainstream brands but with natural, food-grade ingredients.
Bite’s Amuse Bouche lipsticks are the best classic bullet lipsticks out there. The ingredient list is full of nourishing ingredients like castor, jojoba, candelilla, argan, sunflower, coconut, olive, apricot kernel, sweet almond, and avocado oils along with shea butter, beeswax, sunflower seed wax, carnauba wax, resveratrol, grape seed extract, and peppermint oil. The formula is incredibly creamy and moisturizing without sacrificing pigmentation one bit. My lips are chronically dry and Bite’s are the only high pigment cream formula that don’t make them even more dry.
Bite makes such a wide variety of shades, but I find the majority of the neutral shades to be great for olive skin. I’ve wondered if the founder themselves has olive skin because it’s almost unheard of for a line to have so many flattering choices for us. While Bite does make plenty of fun or vibrant shades, I gravitate towards the neutrals - especially those with a muted base. I love that they make it easy to get your hands on minis because I never use up an entire lipstick, so it reduces waste and lets me be a little more adventurous than I would usually be. All of their products are silicone free too, which means I can dab a little lipstick into my cheeks for an easy monochromatic look.
