So you did a fitness comp??
Well done, top effort - but now the real work begins! •
If you're anything like most people, you did your first show and you couldn't wait to stop training twice a day and eating fish by the end of the 16-20 week program! •
You promised yourself you wouldn't blow out afterwards, but opps that cake was just too irresistible and you couldn't stop eating!! Might be time to start getting ready for your next show so you can love yourself again!!! •
Now show two comes around, and this time you've done the post comp thing a little better, but sadly you have blown out a bit, you're carrying heaps of fluid, you still have your cycle if your lucky and you're wondering where to next. New comp, new coach, something new to fix all the damage! •
But the real work has to start with you. It has to start with the self talk. The constant comparison of you to the you that you were when you were on stage is going to get old real quick!
Your relationship with food might have been good pre show, it might have been bad and the motivation to get you on stage. But it's a different ball game now! •
You have to start with your mindset. You are going to have to relearn that a carrot isn't going to make you fat. You are going to have to relearn that 4 hours of training a day is not normal, nor is it sustainable. You are going to have to learn that the sad reality for most is that they will never make a single dollar from their bodybuilding career and therefore you need to put your long term health and wellness before chasing that IFBB title. And don't forget about all the broken relationships you need to fix! •
Bodybuilding will not love you at night and it won't pay your food bills! •
Post comp and need a coach who has learned all of this the hard way?? Who has done the work to reclaim her power and love herself, cellulite and all. DM me, I'd love to hear your story. I'd love to help #notalone #beentheredonethat
