According to the former Reds striker John Aldridge, Liverpool should rest Salah and Mane at Huddersfield - but Roberto Firmino needs to step up.
"First and foremost, Liverpool can't take anything for granted against Huddersfield this weekend.
Things happen in football, they might see this as a way to make a statement and they could cause an upset at home.
But saying that, if you're going to rest the big stars like Mohamed Salah for some games, then you would say that Liverpool have enough in their squad to be able to do that.
The likes of Xherdan Shaqiri and Daniel Sturridge are more than capable of doing damage against David Wagner's side.
Roberto Firmino for his part, he maybe needs to start coming to the table now.
He's been off the boil a touch of late and he was left on the bench for Brazil when they beat Saudi Arabia last week, so he should still be fresh.
We need him to get his form back quickly, because he is a big player for Jurgen Klopp, so maybe he shouldn't be rested against Huddersfield.
Salah though, if he is feeling the impact of an injury, then now is the time to let him sit it out and get back to 100 per cent, because Liverpool will need him.
I'd have absolutely no concerns about Shaqiri or Sturridge playing against the Terriers.
You have to have trust in these players - it's the reason they are at the club - and in the case of Shaqiri, whenever he has played, the Anfield crowd seem to like him.
He's a really good footballer and he is working hard when he plays, so I'd have no qualms about playing the summer signing, whatsoever."
