When you are in asana postures you don’t particularly like, do you remember to breathe? .
Breath is the most important part of practice. Connecting to the breath through the movement of your vinyasa while remembering to breath in challenging asanas. This can be very difficult for anyone.
The short shallow breathes we take less-in the longevity of our life. The longer deeper inhales and exhales detoxify and cleanse the bloodstream while expanding the muscles creating heat throughout the muscles allow us to deepen or postures.
Every deep inhale and exhale you take you naturally cleanse, detoxify, strengthen, lengthen your body & create longevity of life ✨
The best part is, it doesn’t matter how old you are, how young, what sex, if you are athletic or not. Every single person can benefit from the practice of yoga and that to me is what makes it so truly beautiful.
It’s just you, your mat, your breath & intention. 🙏🏻
Next time you are in a pose just remember to ask yourself, am I breathing D E E P L Y. You want to hear your ocean breath - ujjayi breathing - at the back of your throat. Deep inhale and exhale for T least 5 breathes.
@yogawithadriene on YouTube has a great tutorial of Ujjayi breathing 🤗
