Hands down one of the best meals I've had in London!
Modestly cool with a charming, warm vibe and the loveliest staff. The manager really knew her menu and made sure that our 3 starters () were brought out in an order where the flavours of one wouldn't overwhelm the next.
First snap - the preserved mussels added this delicious tang to the monkfish medallions and gazpacho, which really set the whole dish off!
Second is the grilled Cornish squid tartare, broad beans and guanciale. A really fresh, light dish with nice texture contrasts and is perfect in this crazy hot weather!
Third, white asparagus, burnt butter, sage and shaved parmigiano reggiano. A very pleasant combo but I definitely preferred the other 2 starters.
For mains the roasted lamb shank, roasted aubergine and mustard leaves. The juicy lamb just fell apart and I always love a lamb/aubergine combo!
Next, scallops, grilled courgette, asparagus and lemon purée - amazing flavour combo and cooked to PERFECTION, just the right amount of grilled bite and then so sweet and juicy and just melted in your mouth! Defo my fave dish!
Finally, just enough room for dessert..! Tonka bean panacotta, strawberries and honeycomb, and valrhona dark chocolate finger, puff spelt and milk foam. Really enjoyed the varieties of texture in both of these!
Had an absolutely brilliant time and will most definitely have to come back! Probably a new fave for me!
