I haven’t posted in about a month after taking some well needed time out after completely burning out again My first major burn out was February 2014 and I honestly thought that was as bad as it was going to get however this last month has challenged that!! I knew things had to change when my legs gave way in the kitchen and I fell to the ground, my body was in pain, I had a constant headache, pins and needles in my arms and legs and could not function. Adrenal fatigue is more than just feeling a bit tired and isn’t cured with a just few good nights sleep, more needs to change in both diet and lifestyle. My diet is already really good so there isn’t much for me to change there which leads me to lifestyle and stress. I have been aware of my stressors and the effects they have but have just kept going as that’s what you have to do as a Mum however there comes a point where that is no longer sustainable and if you don’t stop and address the stressors and look after yourself then your body will physically make you stop. Luckily this time round I knew what I needed to do and immediately put a healing plan in place, I took a month off work and social media, I started drawing more and joined an art class, I stopped exercising although just reintroduced Pilates again and am starting golf lessons this week, I have been taking more time for me and sitting in the garden, listening to ebooks, spending times with the kids and meditating twice a day.
