Always looking after your self
I'm worst person for not taking my own advice on this. As fellow Mummy's know, once our babies come along, any thought of our self goes out window!
So as my baby grows in to a little boy who starts school in September, I think the time has come for me to grow a little more to.
Slowly but surely I'm getting better at working on me a bit more. I'm finding so much benefit from just taking an hour in morning before J gets up to practice some mindfulness and meditation. It's thoroughly helped me get my day of to a better more focused start and has had amazing effects on stress levels.
I would highly recommend it ladies
I’ve been really focusing on my diet lately and incorporating vege juices in everyday.. not to mention training hard @fiit_culture xx
I am still finding personal development odd it’s not something I ever thought I would do, after all I am a totally grounded person so don’t need help right♀️?? WRONG! Everyone needs to develop, everyone needs to grow, to fix what’s lacking whether its confidence, motivation or just learning to love yourself & this is how you do it!! Until I started coaching I never invested in me, sure I worked out but I never actually took myself serious ! GUYS there is only one you & if you don’t give you your everything how can you give to others?? If you push yourself you won’t change the world BUT you will change you! One positive change can turn into a magical life!! I want that do you?!you trust me #pd#makethechange#whynotme#positivelifestyle#positivethinking
Just back from yoga after a three week break. Very unlike me, I need to go regularly for my mind and body, but life took over as it does. I have been promising myself all week I would go but today as I left work I really, really did not have the energy or the will to go. That's when I knew I MUST go. I needed it to balance me and give me some energy back in the days to come. That is self- care sometimes it's the stutt you want to do, but some of the time it's the stuff you *need* to do. The stuff you don't necessarily want to but know you will be better for doing. @suzyreading is a total guru of self-care and taught me this. Thanks Suzy. What do you *need* to do for you? #selfcare#yoga#lookafteryourmindandbody#youonlygetonelifeliveit#butliveitconsciously#lookafteryourself

I also have a Mothers Bath Oil for a runner up!
You’ve until 7pm Monday 23rd July then will be selecting the lucky winner the next day so look out for it. Hurry hurry and Happy summer everyone!!!
As I try and resist the urge to purchase any more summer clothes (its hard!! - instagram is a killer!) Im turning my focus to a little self care (which I find equally as hard) - it’s taken me 5/6 years to not have the #mumguilt when I go to my spin class (weird I know as I used to be #gymbunny , but I always felt I should be doing something else like working/cleaning/house admin etc and that I didn’t deserve time for myself!) anyway - now I spin ♀️... so attention must now divert to food... Ive got so bad at just eating anything that doesn’t require any effort/prep and as a result I’m just not seeing enough colour in my diet. Im a stone overweight (probably more but I’m no Kate Moss and you def won’t see me posting a #bikiniselfie !) so it’s time to be kind to my body and #eathealthy. Any tips on how to fall back in love with healthy food and actually allow myself some time to prepare myself a nice salad?! #thursdaythoughts#healthyfood#eatfresh#eatnatural
I didn't believe every child was capable of sleep when I had my little boy. He was born with a milk allergy that went undiagnosed for 3 months . It was horrendous but that's not the point of this post!
Upon successful diagnosis of the allergy and new milk it was amazing seeing my boy settled, not to mention a relief.
What was SUPER tough was learning my little boy's cries and what they meant as all I had ever known was crying of discomfort. Sleep was a huge struggle and the more sleep he lost the harder things became. I quickly learnt he struggled switching off - from such a young age his legs would be frantic and his eyes and hands everywhere. We mastered the sleep thank goodness and it was evident that my little alert boy responded much better to a good routine; ironically routine and sleep go hand in hand!
Children's temperaments can be a massive contribution to poor sleep as those alert and SUPER alert little ones find it harder shutting down and chilling out! They need help. Everyday I am still learning as he reaches new milestones and becomes more active and outgrows yet more clothes! His little personality is growing by the day and I have to structure days carefully to accommodate his naps and I find myself obsessing over time, it can be tough BUT without his quality sleep don't we know about it.
We wouldn't change him for the world.
