If you listened to my stories, you heard bits and pieces of how powerful the human connection is. I love this video of Hollis for many reasons, but for surely because she includes my Dad during a pretend phone call to wish my Mom a happy birthday. Sorry Mom 😂
Hollis didn't get much time with my Dad. It's not a coincidence that her first word was Raiders or that it was her and I together when my dad went to Heaven. My 3 older kids have years of memories, stories, and life lessons they will carry with them forever.
Life is a trip, isn't it? My dads biological father wasn't around much. He naturally stepped up to help father my kids when my ex husband was MIA; never because he had to, but because he wanted to do it.
"Rosie, don't cry." My dad said as I told him I was going to be a single mom (again). " I'm excited. I love grandkids. You need to live your life for you and do what YOU feel is right."
I've shared this story before, and you'll hear it again because forgiveness & courage are so important.
I've acquired so much from my Dad, but learning how to not live with regrets is (currently) the most important.
