Magical Unicorn Resolution Specialist.
Sure, it was a made up title, but it ended up being the perfect job for me. My desk was for questions, pictures with a real-life unicorn, hugs, tears of joy and happiness from an event that many were so grateful for, lost & found, conversation, a place to meet their friends (because how could you miss the unicorn desk), and just all around helpfulness & fun & joy & laughter & TMI & cheer. I’m still coming down from the amazingness of the weekend & am so grateful to our organizers, volunteers, attendees, authors - but most of all I’m in awe that when the 3 Fennell sisters decide to do something...we do it. And we surround ourselves with people who are smarter in areas we aren’t and more talented in areas we aren’t to make sure the end goal is a smashing success so that the big picture is a bunch of really happy, joyous people who feel that it was worth their time & money and who made new friends and who feel like they helped contribute to a worthy cause to help make a difference in this world. THAT is what matters. And if we all do little somethings, we can come together like this to do a few BIG somethings.
Oh, and we had free cupcakes thanks to @jenikasnow Sponsoring the cupcake room and that made this unicorn really really happy. Almost as happy as raising $50,000.
