Yayyy I can finally talk about the real reason my training has slowed right back After #wexfordhalfmarathon I took a few weeks off running to try heal my knee, I got a 28 day unlimited pass to @sprintspinning & worked my ass off at spinning, pilates & trx. After that I tried running again, my legs felt sooo heavy & my breathing was so laboured, it got me down thinking I had gone backwards... I did more spinning etc & one day when I found it really tough going in pilates, I did a preg test... low & behold there was a reason for my tiredness & zero energy... I was growing a human I was determined to keep up my training but the last few weeks have been tough, the tiredness literally floored me, the headaches were a killer so on advice from Dr I took last week off completely... .
I relooked at my nutrition & changed a few things, eating more protein with my carbs to keep me fuller for longer, snacking on my energy balls, fruit & seeded brown bread... & my ice pops to keep me cool in this heat .
This morning I realised what my real problem is... ME PUTTING TOO MUCH PRESSURE ON ME!! So I headed out this morning with a route in mind but instead of selecting 'Run' on my @garmin I selected 'Walk'... I walked when I felt I needed too & ran when it felt good and I enjoyed every step of the way My goal now is to keep active, be it walking, jogging, spinning, swimming, just stay active!! .
