Stampo plumcake da 10 fette
Macros: kcal 142/fetta C 27 P 5 F 3

⚬200 gr di farina integrale ⚬50 gr di maizena ⚬30 gr di zucchero di canna ⚬3 uova⚬100 ml di latte di mandorla ⚬40 gr di uvetta sultanina ⚬ 1 mela ⚬6 noci ⚬yogurt greco 0% ⚬cannella qb

In una ciotola sbattere a crema le uova con lo zucchero e aggiungere il latte di mandorla. Unire le farine, il lievito, la cannella e mescolare bene. Aggiungere poi nell'impasto i pezzetti di mela, l'uvetta e le noci sbriciolate. Infornare a 180° per una trentina di minuti. Completare con yogurt greco, mela cotta uvetta e noci! 😍

🍽️ Lazy early dinner made earlier tonight was a “whatever there is in the fridge, chop it up, throw it in a bowl & be grateful” effort 🙏🏽 zapped 1/2 a bag of brown 🍚 threw over some chopped spinach, 🍅, red onion, 🥑, sauerkraut, tinned 🐟, 🥒, 🍄, a scoop of capsicum & cashew spread & a big squeeze of 🍋 & grind of pepper...always a go to meal when time is limited & your hangry pants catch on 🔥 (if you’re extra hangry, load up on more veg mamas, cos let’s be honest, you can never eat too many veges!!!!)

NUTRITION BASICS: CALORIES
Not all calories are created equal. .
The quality of some foods are better for us than others. This is why we look at the Macro Nutrient qualities of food as well as the Micro Nutrients.

For example, you could choose to eat a large slice of cheesecake or a burger.
.
Let's say they're both 800cals each.
.
The burger would be the more nutritious option to choose, with a better ratio of protein, fat, carbs + fibre and micronutrients.
The cheesecake would also provide you with protein, fat & carbs but would lack fibre and have less of a variety of micro nutrients.
.
Neither is good, neither is bad. They just have different quality's.

Sunday night and I'm ready for bed and looking forward to my week ahead. .
This week I plan to hit the gym extra hard because, I absolutely LOVE Thanksgiving food and really just food in general.

Well, good news (if you're following my macro journey), I weighed in this week and lost 7lbs. I know a lot of it was water weight due to that friendly time of month, but also lost some fat👍
Anywho, @avatarnutrition
gave me a increase in calories and macros, yay!!! THAT MEANS MORE FOOD (just in time for the holidays), because I was losing too fast and would be at risk of losing lean muscle mass.👎

I'm learning so much about food and very excited to help others with the knowledge I've gained.
Just remember, the best thing you can do for you and those you love is, to invest time in yourself!!

Well, it took me a whole week, but I am finally back in Ketosis. I was at a .3 all week, but after a weekend with the girl and watching her and her dad and son eating waffles, potatoes and french toast, I hoped my reward for not caving was ketosis. IT WAS!!!!!!! So, now to change up the macros to see if I can start losing weight again. Need to break this stall. 😴

. ▶️HOW TO LOSE WEIGHT FAST? I don't recommend losing weight fast, It's not fair with your body! It's your temple, be respectful! You don't gain 30 pounds in 2 months, so don't expect to lose it fast either. I'll repeat myself: "Focus on what is maintainable", but 20 minutes of HITT cardio 6x a week, plyometric exercises and reducing carbohydrates intake help a lot!
.
▶️BEST WAY TO LOSE WEIGHT? No secret! Eat all natural foods you love. Flexible diet is the key, regular physical activities and carbohydrate cycling (use it as fuel only). Make sure you are in a calorie deficit!
.
▶️HOW TO GET SIX PACK? I'm still trying lol. But I'd answer same as first question: Lots of cardio, specially HITT, while working out abs 5x a week, always modifying the exercises, intensity and number of sets/reps to challenge your core.
.
▶️BEST EXERCISE TO LOSE WEIGHT? I'm a fan of HITT and Plyometrics! Whatever keep your heart rate higher.
.
▶️HOW TO BUILD MUSCLE? It takes time! Human body storage fat faster than build muscles. Make sure you are in a high protein diet, less cardio, lift heavy, alternating with light weight/high reps, so your body don't get use to heavy only.
.
▶️BEST FOODS FOR WEIGHT LOSS? I like lean protein (egg whites, chicken breast, tilapia), dark green salads, asparagus. Carbs: potatoes, oats, veggies (butternut squash, spaghetti squash, zucchini, cauliflower) Love these low calorie veggies, because I love to eat a lot, I prefer volume, so I literally abuse on them. Fats: I like avocado, nuts and coconut oil. Love caffeine, cinnamon, ginger, pepper (thermogenics)! As long as you never cut carbs, fats and proteins (macronutrients) from your diet, I'd say most foods with no labels on them will be good for you!

▶️HOW MUCH PROTEIN DO I NEED? It depends on your goals. Usually 1g per pound, but my body feels great with 150g a day, I’m 105lbs today!

Today, I felt like posting a few random facts about me. Enjoy!

1) I am a nerd. I'm a fan of comic books, anime, and books about magical shit. It gets my creative juices flowing. Some of my favorite shows/readings are the Dragonball series, Batman, Game of Thrones (A Song of Ice and Fire), and The Punisher.
.
2) I get excited off random stuff. For example... if I bought a new toaster, I would get excited when my bread pops out of it. My main reason is that I think of every little bit of detail that it took to create this amazing contraption.
.
3) I ❤️ video games. My favorite games include Ocarina of Time, Guild Wars 2, and Pokemon. I can't play Call of Duty, because it stresses me out. To add to it, I used to have major nerd rage. When I was 13 (out of rage), I threw a controller at my brother @ngjokaj's head. He remembers the whole event in exact detail. It's freaking hilarious, and I'm so glad that I'm "zen-mode" now 😝
.
4) I'm left-handed. I have had a few people try to force me to write right-handed when I was younger. My second grade teacher was one of them. She thought I was "slow" and treated me poorly because of it. I remember one time she didn't let me use the bathroom... so I peed on the carpet and didn't say anything. 😂
.
5) I'm a hobbyist. I used to write consistently. Examples of things I wrote are Satire, Rap Lyrics, and Poetry. I need to get back into that, but currently I'm focusing on dancing and combat training.
.

🔴TRICEP DIPS🔴 ✅On the left shoulderblades locked back together, back is tight and chest is up at approximately shoulder height. Keep a strong grip, with your fists facing the ground and placing most of the weight on your lower/middle hand. From this point you go down, keeping your elbows CLOSE (parallel) to your torso and maintaining a tight back + the same exact grip for the whole movement. Should you go down to full range of motion? It depends on you. Maximal activation occurs at parallel height so there's no "reason to", however if you feel comfortable on going a little deeper, you can go for it. ✅ ❌On the right, shoulderblades aren't tuck back together, and because of that they rotate forward: this causes the nerves & tendons in that area to get pinched & cause pain in the long run. The grip is somewhat of a "suicide" grip, with most of the weight being placed on the upper hand/fingers, which doesn't really help. Quite infact, this contributes to wrist & elbow pain, which is also caused by the increased flexion of the elbow. ❌

A few months ago, the world became protein-phobic following a 25 y/o female bodybuilder’s death. Mostly because the media blew the story out of proportion and made many false claims. What became buried in the series of articles and videos was the fact that she had a rare genetic disorder that prevented her from breaking down protein, leading to a build up of ammonia in the blood. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
To date, there is no concrete evidence that links high protein intake to health damage in healthy adults. Hence, HEALTHY! This means anyone who doesn’t have any pre-existing health issues (i.e., kidney, liver, etc.). Moreover, protein requirements vary per individual. Those that are engaged in sports or resistance training need up 2-3x the recommended dietary allowance (RDA); while the RDA of 0.8g/kg/day may be sufficient for a sedentary individual.
