HOME Linocut Print ✋🏻🌿🤚🏻 Been focusing on simplicity lately. Clearing away a lot of the expectations and demands I used to put on myself, and it opens up so much time for what I really want to invest my life in: Listening to my 4yo niece’s rambling but very. serious. “stories”, reading more books, making food from scratch, taking walks and trying new things (I’ll be trying tai chi next Monday) and opening my arms and home more often. Last Friday I hosted a get-together for the first time in the house I’m currently in. It was meant to be a game night, but everyone ended up just chatting and laughing over punch and sweets for hours around our fireplace. It was so, so, sweet, and made me feel more at home within these walls than I have in a long time. Creating a space where YOU feel at home goes right along with creating one where others can feel safe and welcome, too, I’ve found, and I’m so excited to explore this more later this year when my fiancé and I get married and move into our own (likely minuscule) place. ✖️ HOME Linocut Print is black waterbased ink on unbleached 8”x10” mulberry paper; $18.00 at Kalliomäki Designs shop, link in bio.
