Who loves hand me downs?
I completely love the tradition of hand me downs no matter what the object is. It’s the sense of keeping someone’s affection and consideration with you through that one thing.
Pens (in particular) and motivation are commonly given to me by my father, from the very beginning. He always encouraged my inclination towards humanities or social sciences in a world now running towards sciences. Not that advanced scientific studies aren’t important; they truly are, but we’ve run out of balance now. Humankind cannot achieve progress and prosperity based solely on science, it needs the other half, it needs humanities (artists, thinkers, writers, philosophers) and divinity.
Back to PENS now, hand me downs are always objects carrying great influence and importance, like tradition and advice for the future about to behold us. Pens are one of the most significant tools for expression and even change! It is becoming symbolic of course but you get the point right?
My father has been the biggest silent support of my life to this day Alhamdulillah he always welcomed and appreciated my desire to become a great writer someday and this is why I get a lot of pens from him (this one is one of my favourites)
