Sorry Golden Gate, you've got nothing on the #bucksportbridge.
This bridge spans the river in the little town of Bucksport, Maine where the Penobscot River enters the Atlantic. It's a beautiful view day or night, but there's just something about those lights reflecting off the water.
This charming little town hides some pretty amazing things to do. You can check out Craig Brook Fish Hatchery and see some salmon up close and personal, or head across the bridge for a day at Fort Knox. Fort Knox has been featured on ghost hunters and frequently has special events that you'll want to check out while you're there.
In the morning you can head on down to the waterfront and eat breakfast with a view. There's frequently a morning fog that will have you wondering if Karl is visiting from San Francisco. The drifting fog over the pier, fishing boats and sailboats, and even an occasional Coast Guard cutter (I've even spotted Naval ships!) is a sight to take in with your morning cup of Joe. At about half an hour from the famous Bar Harbor, you should definitely make this a stop when in Maine. .
