#latergram Evening colors from near Prague Castle.
In hindsight, I’m not sure that Prague got a fair shake from me. We only had one full day there, a very warm Sunday with hordes of other tourists clogging all the center city destinations. It was only after we found a quiet park not far from Prague Castle, and I crashed in the shade of a plane tree, that my jet lag and headache subsided. I used to say that the best way to know a new place was to fall asleep outdoors there, and I found out it’s still true. When I woke, we walked through the castle gardens and along the streets and parks in a wide ring above the city center, looking for views and open space and shade and solitude; and we found the parts of Prague I could love.
