Yesterday in Bunnings it really got me thinking..sometimes are kids being ‘naughty’? Or sometimes are we as parents, just tired and time poor? Therefore often lack the patience to deal with them? Which turns into telling them off?? .
I’m normally a go go go person lol..and Riley, well, he’s a slow, slow, slow person haha..
Like most children, he likes to explore the shops, play hide and seek, fill his trolley with crap we don’t need, touch everything and ultimately just be a curious 2 1/2 year old! .
It’s often just me and him, with his dad working away and and no family living near by..so i’ve really had to learn the art of patience! .
For me to have good energy and to always be switched on, it’s a non negotiable! I catch myself when I am getting frustrated..to make sure I don’t take that out on him! .
90% of the time he’s actually not being ‘naughty’, it all comes down to how I am feeling!
Curious if anyone else can relate? Or if anyone else actually hasn’t thought about it like this before?
