Don’t try to rush progress. Rember-a step forward, no matter how small, is a step in the right direction.
I’ve been sore since Friday and set an expectation for this race to be an easy pace 5 mile run. I wasn’t trying to PR or to over do it because I didn’t want to get injured after this race. I just want to get this race done and go home after. But when the horn blew, I was OUT! Something in me, wanted to find out how far I could run without stopping. I didn’t feel anything, no sore, no knee pain, no shin splints. I just felt good, focused and relaxed, and completely forgot my expectations for this race. I’m pretty sure I was having a runners high.
