This concept design is a multipurpose research project which besides offering its client maximum features of a grand residential complex (as a professional architecture project), it also examine the theory of Heliantus Tubersos as an architectural design process.
This project tries to answer all needs and aspects of a grand residential complex in the northern shores of Iran, through an architectural practice after Heliantus Tubersos inspiration. The design provide all climatic, cultural, and functional needs of a residential building in north of Iran (Mazandaran), using attributes of traditional local houses, not their form; in which the design could get more contextual. The designer believes that the attributes of an architecture or culture should be kept, instead of its forms, so the design process followed the growth process of Heliantus tubersos. In every level, building twists and re-form itself, to solve an issue; one could be wind, shadow, rain or even better view to touristic village of Namak Abrood.
Deformities of the buildings are due to a functional issue. Some could bring wind through the building levels to increase humidity, some would help harvesting rainwater, and some provide each apartment different view to the site (according to apartment class). Please visit full project here:
