When I stumbled across @mikhailapeterson I explored the #carnivorediet , watched some YouTube videos and decided to experiment with her beef, salt and water protocol that she coined “the lion diet”. This calls for 6 weeks of only those three ingredients. It may sound irresponsible, but for some personal context when I discovered veganism many moons ago I ate only fruit for a month🤷🏼♀️. I’ve always learned best from experience and I am excited to give this protocol a try. The autumn equinox was the last time I consumed any of Arbonne’s nutritional system. I managed to lose about 19 pounds while using their products. However, my hormones remained imbalanced which effected my mood disorder and my body continued to show symptoms of inflammation even after six months of using the system.
My testimony should not discredit any whom have experienced improvement in their health from the 30 days to healthy living products. I love their bath and beauty products since they suit my superficial nature perfectly.
However, in the name of complete transparency, their nutritional system simply is not what my body needs to heal.
After almost five years of alternating between vegan, vegetarian and the standard American diets I had to face the reality that there was more I needed to learn when it came to optimizing my individual health. I have been seeking clarity as to exactly what causes the inflammation in my body so the elimination nature of The Lion Diet deeply appealed to me.
In the last 6 weeks, I have analyzed my relationship with food and identified a dependency to sugar.
Currently, I am consuming about a pound of beef, one ounce of liver, 1.5 c of bone broth, 1-2 cups of milk, coffee and 3-6 tsp of coconut sugar. Naturally, I find my body fasting for 16ish hours, and surprisingly I’ve never been as satiated.
While I have yet to actually complete day 1 of #theliondiet , I have found myself adhering to more of an ancestral diet in the last few weeks and can see minor improvements in my health.
