There have been many periods in my life where I cycle red meat out for months at a time, but I’ve always continued to consume chicken... & to be honest, I think I’ve gotten a little lazy in how easy it is for me to rely on the convenience of a pre-cooked chicken. But when I think about the inconvenience of how that chicken got there and am truly honest about the steps that lead up to my consumption, it weighs on my ❤️

I have made the guideline for myself to eat things I feel I would be able to take the life of and process myself. If I think about the steps of getting chicken, beef, or pork to my plate, I know for certain that’s not something I could do. ...

Snack time! Macronutrients balance is key and I have to admit that I find hard to eat enough protein since I don't eat meat... I mean chicken 😂😂😂 I used to eat a lot of chicken 😒

So I have been without meat for six entire days, and I have tried a few recipes. They all have been pretty good. But this “pulled pork” sandwich with coleslaw is by far my favorite thus far. It was like I was eating meat. It’s made with jackfruit and lime tequila coleslaw (all I had was apple flavored vodka, which worked perfect). I said vegan but I used regular mayo for the coleslaw. Haven’t posted consistent fitness pics bc my fitness routine hasn’t been the best. With the holiday season finally over its time to get back on track. VEGANA-VEGETARIANA?? 🤔🤭🌱 .
Me encanta acogerme a estas iniciativas como la de “Meatless Monday” o “Lunes sin carne”. La verdad es que cuando no tenía mucho conocimiento sobre alimentación siempre me daba miedo que algún nutriente le faltara a mi cuerpo, o también llegue a pensar que iba a quedar con hambre,😂😂 o que me iba a engordar por comer más carbohidratos de lo normal. 😵 @healthcoachescolombia .
Pero MENTIRA ... me di cuenta que antes traía demasiados beneficios para mi cuerpo y para el mundo. 🌎 y No soy vegana ni vegetariana, pero entendí que explorar y dejar descansar a mi cuerpo de la proteína animal por los menos un día a la semana esta perfecto 👌🏼 .
Les quiero compartir algunos beneficios de implementar este tipo de iniciativas .
1. Disminuyes del riesgo de obesidad, sano BMI (índice de masa corporal)
2. Disminuye el riego de enfermedades crónicas como las del corazón 💜, diabetes, y cancer.
3. Disminuyes las cargas tóxicas con las que vienen algunas proteínas animales como hormonas, esteroides y residuos tóxicos de las carnes altamente procesadas.😷 metales pesados como el mercurio en los 🐟. 4. Dinero: aunque no lo crean las carnes altamente procesadas son muy costosas, y pueden ahorrar un poco uniéndote al #lunessincarne
5. Proteges a los animales 🐔🐤🐣🐄🐖 6. Ayudas al planeta 🌍
7. Gastas menos energía y recursos naturales
8. Te da más vitalidad y longevidad ———————————-
Dale a tu cuerpo un respiro a la semana, verás cambios increíbles 😊😊💜💜 y ante todo con responsabilidad siguiendo la misma ecuación (proteína, carbohidratos, grasas buenas)
