Separation Anxiety, or Spoiled?
My answer might change depending on the day.
At first everyone would say B&O were “such good babies” because the girls barely cried. Now they cry so much I’m collecting for the dry season. No, not at home, not at the store, not on auditions, or anywhere of that nature. ONLY when we stay the night elsewhere. (grandma visits).
#momminainteasy , especially with multiples, so we spend most of our time indoors with their Dad and Gma, so they don’t experience the rest of the family that often. And of course, grandparent love is different from parental love; It comes with a side of “here, have everything”.
The girls know who to work, and how to work them. And the queens of attitude and gummy sass sure can put on a show when they want. We see right through it.
It’s trickier when you’re in someone else’s home. You want to accommodate your hosts, so you do what you can to keep the kiddies quiet. Over here, self soothing and independence go right out the window. Sleep through WHAT night? Play with who?? You’re going Where? THE KITCHEN?!
The longer the visit, the more comfortable they get. But every trip is a reset, And I sure am tired.
So is crying every time I stand and walk away because of attachment/anxiety? Or a result of the learned finesse? Idk, but someone help me.
