@growingwiththefro Treating her crown with our Queen Of The Nile Hair Repair Mask
DEEP CONDITIONER VIDEO
Over the course of my entire natural hair journey I have only ever tried on deep conditioner (Cantu’s deep treatment masque, which I loveee). So today’s video I am trying a new conditioner that was sent to me by @retrorichhair .
First impressions: Pleasant smell, not too overpowering. I can’t quite put my finger on what it smells like but it smells natural♀️.
Ingredients: It’s silicone free, sulphate free & paraben free. It contains Shea butter, Marshmallow root extract and Rhassoul Clay and has many other oils.
Texture: It’s a thick mask, a little really goes a long way. It melted into my hair which is important too. I am very heavy handed when it comes to product, I like to see it on my hair to know it’s there. I definitely could have used less of this product for sure!
Application: Sunk into my hair really easily, I could detangle with this product if I wanted to. I wouldn’t detangle with deep conditioner though because deep conditioners are much more expensive than conditioners which also detangle my hair fine!
Does it work??: It really defined my curls, my hair felt light and fluffy after and rinsed it off (I left it on for about an hour even though 15 minutes is recommended).
I only have one other deep conditioner to compare it to, but my first use of this product was very positive! I think it’s important that we continue to use products that have designed with curly girls in mind. Also, that don’t see our hair as a challenge or “demanding” coughs**John Frieda**coughs. We have great power as consumers to choose wisely where we put our coins.
Side note: what do you guys think of the new set up?!
