I want let you in on a little something that happened this week.
I was on a mission of pursuit, something I wanted and was striving for with intentionality.
The process was forward and direct, favour seemed on my side; and then a giant obstacle emerged.
It was a mountain, a battle I was going to endure, defeat and misery; the ultimate loss of a good and perfect opportunity.
It was deviating, mind boggling, heart wrenching and gutting; like the story of slavery and bondage, similar to what occurred in Ancient Egypt with the Israelites and Pharaoh.
I endured uncertainty, betrayal, anxiety, immense discouragement and hopelessness.
You might not know but I’m an 8 on the enneagram, and feelings like this don’t pair well.
I woke up, I decided to lift my situation up in prayer and petition, with thankfulness, presenting my request to God (Phi 4:6-7) loosing my anxiety and casting my worries to him because he cares (1 Pe 5:7).
Though my situation didn’t seem moveable, I boldly professed for that mountain to be moved (Matt 17:20) by faith in what God can do and not by what my circumstances looked like (2 Cor 5:7).
Anyway, long story short, he gave me victory over my situation today (1 Cor 15:7) and my desire and pursuit has come to pass.
And, so what exactly is they key take out you say?
I say keep believing, keep on having faith, keep in close proximity with the one who truly loves you, and cares for you; he who gives what you ask for according to his will (1 Jn 5:14) and even if he doesn’t he is still good.
Do not be troubled by your circumstances (Jn 14:27) he has overcome, take heart (Jn 16:33) and do not doubt (Jn 20:27).
He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion (Phil 1:6) stand faithful to the end (Heb 3:14) and remember, trials bring forth character (Jas 1:2-4).
