Happy Father’s Day Dad💙 ( I fish in your name) 😇😇🙏🙏
back in the early 90’s this big man opened the world of fishing to me, it all started for me as a barbel angler, basic hooks tied with fixed leads, luncheon meat with a blade of grass to hold it on the hook, the river Teme was flooded with barbel, strong powerful rockets, fighters like no other river barbel at the time!!! They were so fierce they acquired the name “TEME TIGERS”
I’ll never forget the days of 9+ fish a night and my whopping 14.6 pb!!!
Since then I’ve had a family, work commitments amongst other things, fishing became a dream as my life progressed, time became limited and I just couldn’t find any time to fish!!
A year and a half ago my dream came true and I was able to get on the bank, initially I went straight for barbel and even the thought of landing one filled me with unknown emotions!!!
Last year I landed my first barbel in 15 years, tears followed by unexplainable emotions, I cried, I laughed and I looked up to the universe and shouted look dad I done it, I’ve got one!!!! I never knew you for long, as I met you in my early teens and you was taken away from me shortly after, us fishing together will always remain a firm happy memory and I thank you so much for the times you spent on the bank with me, I’ll treasure the memories till the end!!! I’ve now got a lot of free time on my hands and it feels so good to be back on the bank to pursue what I love!!! Thanks big man and rest easy, it’s in your name I fish 💙💙🙌😇
