The “three white days” - the day before the full moon, the day of the full moon and the day after the full moon, are days that can intensify emotions in people. While there is no hard scientific data that supports this, I am very sensitive to my environment and have felt the pull of the moon since I was very young.⠀

Think about it, human beings are mostly water, and the moon has a gravitational pull on the oceans, so is it too far of a reach to say that the moon could also be affecting us and causing us to sway back and forth through different emotions during this time? ⠀

The closeness of the moon to the earth and the moon’s phase will impact a person’s emotions. A person can have mood swings, feel either really tired or extremely energetic, and experience magnification or intensification of their emotional state (positive or negative). If you are a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP) or an empath, you might be more impacted than others.⠀

In some traditions, it was recommended that a person fast during the full moon period to deprive the physical and calm the mental body. If you cannot fast, at least start your day quietly without jumping on to social media, or emails. Try meditating using an App (Omvana or Headspace are my favorite), drink a lot of water, stay away from noisy crowded people and places (online and in person). Slow down, take rest, and don’t push yourself too much during these days. ⠀

Tip:⠀Download ‘My Moon Phase App’ and a ‘Mood Notes’ App and try to keep track of your energy and moods throughout the month (3x day). After a few months you will start to see patterns in your mood and prepare and plan accordingly.⠀

I had a massive panic attack last night, like huge, worst I’ve ever had. I had planned to go for a run this morning but still felt pretty drained this morning.

I forced myself to get changed into my gym clothes and was sitting trying to get prepped for it when I thought about what I was doing, I looked down and thought. ‘For gods sake give yourself a break’
I needed today off, of course I did, I’m just back from holiday, I spent all yesterday doing chores, I’m on my period (which always fucking suck) and I had a huge anxiety attack last night of course I don’t want to go for a bloody run!
AND THATS OKAY.
I mean holy shit woman it’s okay if you feel tired. It’s okay if you need to rest. Even if none of that had happened you don’t need an excuse to rest.
So this is for you, if you feel drained and you don’t know why and you keep fighting and fighting through it, this is your sign to rest, I’m giving you permission let yourself off, to take that nap, to eat that chocolate, to write, to watch tv, to exercise. Whatever you do to recharge do it this week, find the time and invest in you.
And by god give yourself a fucking break. Because you deserve it.

Day 15: Haven’t been motivated to post. Nothing makes me happy. Good news is that I am heading to a treatment center on Wednesday. Will be venturing out-of-state, which is needed. Need to turn off being Mom, wife, daughter, friend, and just focus on ME. Three days ago I randomly watched the documentary Fed Up and was blown away by how much sugar I’ve been consuming. Especially in the depths of my despair I’ve been known to lay on the couch and inhale rows of Oreos and then wonder why my belly was expanding?!?! Well, enough is enough. Might as well add insult to injury and go ALL IN and sugar detox since I’m miserable already. I read this book in one day and feel a spark of hope and inspired to change my health. I’m sure my food changes will also help with my depression, anxiety, and PTSD. Here’s to positive lifestyle changes.
Oh. I am also on one week of taking CBD and loving it. Already noticing a huge difference in my appetite which is super duper awesome and probably helping with some of my sugar withdrawal symptoms. Onwards and upwards! .
