Well this took me back ! So this show was filmed in '89 but that Universal Studios intro looks practically the same as our tour from 1977. The only thing that looks different is where they're crossing the water. I recall they had a ' Moses moment ' showing how the water was magically parted but in this scene they just look to cross over with shooting flames. Jaws looks the same, albeit a bit rough.
Our visit was when they were filming a Six Million Dollar Man episode. It was in some valley, so all we saw were tall lights, a crane and the tops of a few heads. The incoming steam train was a bit freaky. The disintegrating bridge kinda cool. Loved the Jaws hanging in a rest area, along with a bunch of foam boulders. We watched two audience members become Frankenstein with his bride, walked through the Perry Mason court room and have never forgotten when the tour guide showed us how blood was made: water, glycerin, food coloring. Most everyone thought it rather gross, I loved it and it made me see scary movies in a new light ( visualizing in front and behind the camera ). Sorry 'bout the horrid sound - not needed anyway #universalstudios #vintageuniversalstudios #memories #californiamemories #mytripin1977 #1977memories #timetogoback #jaws #vintagetv #metv #columbo
