Odd angle photo = shoulder testimonial:
I injured my right shoulder four or five weeks ago moving wrong while helping a client. I couldn’t lift the arm, reach across, or bring it away from my side for about a week. I did traction on the arm, took a natural anti inflammatory (@standardprocess Acute), as recommended by my chiropractor, and iced it when I remembered to. I worked mostly left handed with T-Rex arm assistance. 🦖 .
I’ve had almost full range of motion for the past week or two, but there’s an uncomfortable sticky spot at the top of the range that has kept me from doing certain exercises, like Corkscrew on the reformer, where you hold onto the pegs with your elbows out to the sides.
After three days of the upper body Myofascial Release workshop with @waltfritzpt. I can put the back of my right arm flat on the reformer with no discomfort. Huge difference in a short period of time. I also did Snake and Twist today - both are advanced exercises requiring shoulder stability. No pain, executed them pretty well, considering.
If you have any idea of what a determined butthead I am about my workouts and doing the entire advanced classical flow, you know how aggravating this has been. I’m used to my body being able to do what I need it to do. The slow stretch of Myofascial Release has made a huge difference.
I’m back. Happy to be able to fully kick my own butt. .
