I think we all know by now how incredible vaginas are given that they provide the opening for new life.

This is why I am so pro a healthy gut! From my friend Stacey Potter:

Did you know that only 5% of diseases are truly genetic⁉️ Neither did I until I met with a wellness doctor today to discuss functional medicine and start lab work to determine food allergies, DNA testing to determine my nutritional genomics, and to test for toxicity levels in my body.
I didn’t grow up with the knowledge that processed foods and antibiotics could have more detrimental effects than benefits. (Don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking antibiotics. I know they are necessary at times.) I consumed a lot of sugar 🍫growing up, ate canned veggies (and thought that was being #healthy), and overindulged in greasy, fried foods 🍟because that was the summer staple at our family business. A rule in our house is mama or daddy cook and that’s what we are eating. Take it or leave it. Recently they have been making such a great snack choices that if they don’t prefer what I make for meals then they can get up and make something for themselves. Dietary fibers boost beneficial bacteria levels, but what about diversity?

Consuming dietary fibers does lead to higher levels of ‘Bifidobacterium’ spp. and ‘Lactobacillus’ spp., but does not affect the diversity of bacteria in the gut, says a meta-analysis of 64 studies.

Pooling data from a total of 2,099 study participants also showed that fiber was associated with increases in levels of the short chain fatty acid (SCFA) butyrate, compared with placebo/low-fiber, according to findings published in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition​​.

My family took me on an adventure for Father’s Day. Our first stop was a butterfly house. This little guy hitched a ride on my back for quite a while. 🦋
You know what’s cool? On the outside he was gray and plain like my t-shirt. He was camouflaged and I’m gu swing that’s why he liked me.
