Always a treat to see Jordan Kurokawa on the mound and Wednesday’s start against the Sussex County Miners did not disappoint: With a 10-4 record and 2.03 ERA, Kurokawa appears to be an early favorite for Pitcher of the Year honors.

Deadlifts are one of the main exercises I program for players. Great for working on glute and hamstring strength, as well as great for stabilizing your core and work on putting force into the ground.
Couple cues to remember when doing barbell conventional deadlift are:
- sit your butt down and think about keeping your back flat, not arched.
- pull the slack out of the bar. - keep abs tight as you stand up.
- don’t look up. Keep neck neutral by looking at the ground 3 feet in front of you. - when standing up, think about pushing feet into the ground as hard as you can.
- engage glutes at the top.
