Diastasis repair! Learn the most important breathing exercise you need to know in order to close that abdominal separation. Here is the “Pull-In” two ways. 1- Sit comfortably with a neutral spine (no arching or rounding). Also, be sure your rib cage is neutral (no fanning open of the lower ribs). Take a deep breath in and let your abdominal muscles relax. As you exhale engage your deep core muscles (your transverse abdominis) by pulling your navel to your spine. Use the entire exhale and visualize your core tightening like a corset. Repeat for 10 breaths. 2 - Same Pull-in exercise, but on all fours. Now you will be working against gravity, so it will feel a little more intense. Make sure to set your self up with a neutral spine and rib cage. Inhale to relax. Exhale to pull navel to spine. Tighten the corset. Repeat for 10 breaths. 💪👍🙌 Just a side note: This will not feel intense like crunches or a plank, but it is working! It should be gentle.
