I speak to people every day focusing on their version of happiness, focusing on what they haven’t got and the people that aren’t there for them, but where is our real happiness?
Its so easy to focus on what people are NOT doing for you, quickly forgetting what we actually already have. It’s so natural to externalise, blame other people and look at what we haven’t got.
Unfortunately in these times we tend to forget the people that are actually there for us. Our close friends, family and people that already take the time to listen to our problems, the friend or family member that listens to us more about a relationship issues, the work colleague we moan to about our day and about our boss.
It’s not always easy, but if we can only learn the skills that enable us to remember what we actually do have, if we can take the time to reset our brains and realise that actually it’s not as bad as it seems.
This is a skill that has to be practiced over and over, it’s not an easy thing to do especially when you’re in a bad place and it won’t happen over night.
A good start is when you wake up every morning train yourself to think first and foremost about something you are grateful for, whether that's your family, the roof over your head, the people around you or even your dog.
Find the happiness that's already there.

Do you dislike working out and exercising? I understand. I used to procrastinate so much when it came to working out. I just didn't like to exercise - until I started EXERCISING REGULARLY! Go figure!⁣
It is the biggest surprise - and a cool perk - of regular exercise! I WANT to workout daily. I NEED to work out daily.⁣
I get a little irritated if I don't get to my work out! I am now in my SEVENTH month of regular exercise. I don't always hit every day but I do look forward to it and I make sure it is a priority. ⁣

Progressing from the shrug phase to the high pull phase of a clean.

Again Im deliberately not sitting back and bending my knees a much as I'm looking for maximal Posterior Chain Activation, hence I am working with a light weight.
Concerntrate on powering the hips through, while shrugging the shoulders up and back at speed to gain triple extension and generate the upward momentum of the bar.
Try to avoid pulling with the arms before these steps as it's counter productive to the lift.
Once the initial drive and movement of the bar is generated then focus on high elbows and getting as much height on the bar as possible.

As the bar comes down close the hips (push the bum back slightly) and bend the knees slightly to absorb the impact of the weight as it descends.

Visualization allows MENTALITY to become REALITY.
It is absolutely critical to success because you can see success in your mind then your setting up the blueprint for you to physically create success. Mentally creating a blueprint allows you to physically create success.
Here’s a few tips to incorporate visualization to your performance:
1) use all your senses - create as realistic and vivid of an image as you can.

2) Start with short amounts of time - try visualizing for 30 seconds to a minute at a time and then increase from their. In the beginning it’s not about quantity it’s about quality. Then you can increase quantity while maintaining quality.

3) Write it down - this is an integral step for beginners! Write what you want to see and the purpose/goal you want this visualization to help you achieve before you actually visualize it, kind of like a script. After a visualization write down what worked, what didn’t, how long it lasted, specific emotions you felt or want to feel next time. These notes are critical for increase quality and quantity.

Go try it! Pick an activity you want to work on and just close your eyes and see yourself executing that activity. REMEMBER- in your mind you are in total control, so remember that it’s ok to be perfect in your mind! Execute the activity to perfection, get comfortable seeing yourself executing perfectly and that will ease your body when your physically executing it.

The player came off the pitch shaking his head kicking his feet visably annoyed with himself.

The meaning being the mistake has been made, that can't be changed but there's still a game to play. He's urging his player to forget the mistake not dwell on it and focus on having a positive impact on the game from that point on.

In life we all need to develop the skills to be able to do this.
Be aware of mistakes we've made, learn from them and move on as quickly as possible to not let them negatively affect our future performance in life.

The most common thing I see with the generalised weightlifting movements taught and used in the gym is the lack of triple (full) extension in the pull phase of a clean.
Triple extension referring to extension of the ankle, knee and hip joint.
This is where the the power and momentum is created to generate decent height of the bar to set up the catch phase of the lift.
Here I have created only a small bend in my knees with a greater closing of my hips in order to focus on driving my hips, pulling my shoulders back and up with greater force to create the full extension you see in the second picture.

It's always nice when a client takes the time to actually write a review.......... Transformation Tuesday
Yes, it can be from the outside:
-weight
-hair style, colour
-makeup -clothes

But it can also be from the inside
-detox
-health
-mood
-positivity
This morning I woke up in a funk. Just that Blahhh kind of feeling. It took me a while to turn it around and even as I’m writing this, I need some self talk to stay on the right track .
There’s nothing wrong with those days, but it’s what you do about it that matters. You have the choice of
1. Staying in that funk
2. Find a way to change it.
By changing your mindset (negative to positive), by finding gratitude (thanks to my husband reminding me about what I say in my Lives / posts ), by surrounding yourself with people that uplifts you (my family), you can transform your day from blahhh to a better one.

Grilled Porkchops with steamed vegetables. We’re finding that it isn’t hard to adjust to this lifestyle with a few adjustments.

We requested to substitute the rice with more steamed veggies. It was served with garlic bread and corn which we removed and saved to feed to our hens. No waste food!
