Of course I know Purim is behind us. Duh. Still I want to share something with you all that might inspire you in the future.
Purim has always been a very big deal to me. Not just because I’m a Purim Baby, but because hey, I am a party girl and welcome a joyous holiday. For about 35 years, I devoted two solid days to making about 40 epic Mishloach Manot bags. Everything homemade (https://www.levanacooks.com/purim-baskets-healthy-mishloach-manot/)
But in the last 5 years I decided to send Mishloach Manot to soldiers in Chevron. $18 buy a complete and delicious meal for a soldier. Multiply that by as much as you can afford. It all gets distributed to soldiers.
Apparently I’m not the only one. Take a look at the thank you note I received in addition to the pictures:
“Dear Kirschenbaum Family,
With your generous help, we were able to distribute over 2000 Mishloachei Manot to soldiers and policemen on Purim last week.
Thank you for helping us to show them our gratitude for what they do for Am Yisrael”
What Nachas! Now I only make 3 beautiful Homemade Mishloach Manot bags, and have many more made in Hebron.
For all who asked, here’s where to send contributions:
