A birthday weekend well spent traversing the uphill and downhill trails of Indian Cave SP. This time of the year the eastern Nebraska state park invites an array of migratory colors. The 3,000 plus acres of well managed woodland, small prairie and river ecosystems that border the Missouri River are ideal for wildlife and provide excellent birding to those who watch and listen.
Wildlife species: eastern phoebe, indigo bunting male, female, great crested flycatcher, male summer tanager, northern rough-winged swallow and a Copes grey tree frog.
