Creating (and naming) mood boards for clients when they start a branding project is one of my favorite things to do. 🤓🎨📸
So, what exactly is a mood board? When I first start a branding project with a client I have them fill out an online survey through my website that asks a bunch of questions about their organization/business/service, personal style, likes/dislikes, target audience and business goals. From there I take all of their feedback and pull out different areas of focus to create a few mood boards that include color pallet options, inspiration photos, and design elements. It’s kind of like a scrapbook page/visual representation of what the brand identity might look like. (Brand identity is the collection of all brand elements that the company creates to portray the right image of itself to the consumer. So everything from packaging and stationery to office decor and tone on social media... it’s so much more than just a logo!) For this project we put together three different concepts and “Leather Luxury” was the winner! The client wanted something masculine and clean without being too heavy or traditional. I just emailed the first four logo options and can’t wait to see which direction they go!
