My Beauty Queen
Always wants her nails painted
but wants to run wild before they dry.
Loves donuts that match her clothes.
She speaks her mind and says
everything with such an air
of confidence that even her older brothers believe her (though often she had no idea if what she says is true or not).
Sweet but undeniably feisty.
Overcompensates for being the littlest and the only girl by refusing to go unheard or unseen.
Too charming and lovely
for her own good.
The perfect sprinkling of freckles
on her beautiful little nose.
Our connection to each other is something I didn’t know I had been waiting an entire life for.
Though both her and I are feminine at our core, we’re probably the most “masculine” of energies in our home, which always makes for the most comical of times and interesting of dynamics within our little tribe.
I already admire everything she is and will be.
Before I had her, everyone always asked if I was trying “for my girl” but truth be told, I was having such an amazing time raising two boys, I honestly felt neutral about the gender. .
Then she fell into our lives from the Heavens almost 4 years ago, and I can’t even remember a life before “my girl.”
