But sometimes I hear my body tell me it needs rest, sometimes I hear my body tell me it needs fuel, and sometimes I use the workout to fuel and feed my mind, to clean out the cobwebs or just say I accomplished one thing today. Attention Ladies!! Dont worry about what you look like in the gym! Yes you get a red face, Yes you get sweaty (sometimes in weird places), Yes your hair goes everywhere, and Yes things jiggle - but who cares! That generally means you had a great workout. 💪🏼 I see too many women too self conscious to start at the gym, or worry too much about their looks in the gym (like working out with a full face of makeup). This is me after a 30min HIIT circuit and a 15min run - no makeup, red face, sweat everywhere, and my hair looks crazy.
Its time we stop focusing on what we look like during our workouts - and focus on that fact that we are actually doing something positive for our health. We are building stronger, fitter bodies which has the power to give us so much self confidence.

I'm finishing up my @elonmusk awareness week with an idea I probably talk about too often. 🤔Elon and I share some common thoughts on the topic of AI. It is something I feel too many people think too little about. Specifically, the potential consequences of this technology on the future of humanity are quite troubling to me. We need to prioritize human safety and ensure a peaceful and healthy relationship between AI and the world. And it isn't just AI. I worry about the rate at which machines replace humans in the workplace. These are pressing issues that need to be discussed. What will this developing technology mean for our communities, our families, and the future of our species? Too many thoughts to sum up here. I just know that extreme care should be taken as we move forward into this new world. I love that Elon is using his voice to bring awareness to this issue! Humans and technology merge more each year. Another of his companies, Neuralink, is working on an interface between the two. It is quite interesting work. Go check it out! There has been a lot of bad press surrounding this man, especially recently. It makes me sad, and also a bit angry. Maybe he is a bit eccentric. 🤷‍♀️ I don't think so, myself. He is a true visionary! Granted, I may be a bit biased. After all, I do require an on call weirdometer in the form of @ethereal.flame 😂 She tells me that I'm bordering on too strange with this image. But there's a method to my madness! It may not be immediately clear why I chose to represent AI in this manner. My hope is that with a second look, and a little thought, you might pick apart the different elements and their intended references. I might have lost some of you this week. Historically, this account has been used purely to share my practice and art, accompanied by little blurbs about my day. Very simple. That is such a small part of the whole, though. My mind is much more active than my body. Experience has shown me that people typically aren't interested in going down that rabbit hole. 🤷‍♀️ So, simple I keep it. And yes, I am really floating. Shit gets weird when you become a cyborg!

Joy - it’s a choice.⁣

My family and I are going through a season now where #allthethings we we had planned are all up in the air. And #alltheemotions basically are in a vicious cycle. Waiting in the liminal space unsure about all the unknown is just not fun. (I have much stronger language for it...but my mom doesn’t like it when I use it so I won’t today.) I was in full melt down mode this morning. I am weary. My last two posts have told of my faith and hope and belief. All of those things are still true. One can be weary and faith filled at the same time.⁣

This morning’s melt down was not from lack of belief but rather just a needed release of weeks and weeks of A LOT. ⁣
This afternoon - I choose joy. I choose to look up funny videos on YouTube, and read funny things, and send eyerolling memes to friends who will laugh with me.⁣

Life - it is full of things. Hard things. Fun things. Trying things. Good things. How we choose to face them is what makes them. ⁣
Today - in spite of it all - I choose Joy. (P.s. these posts are not for public counseling or to air laundry. I have incredibly supportive friends who are my rocks during this time. Rather it is my hope they are real glimpses into an authentic life. I hope they encourage someone else who may also be in a battle today...You are not alone. Been in a funk all week due to lower back pain issues, my immune system trying to fight something off and just a little sadness. Hormone issues. I know this shall pass. One week I’m killin’ my workouts and other weeks I’m feeling bleh. It’s not all unicorns and rainbows all the time.🌈🦄🤷🏻‍♀️ So today I let go of the pressure that I will only have a good day if I get a good sweaty workout in. Silly right?! Saw this the other day and had to share because it’s such a sad reality for so many people....
Prescription drugs for the side effects or reactions of other prescription drugs.....
My grandmother lived this life for many many years until she passed away.
It’s. So. Terrible.
If only doctors would prescribe healthy lifestyles and whole food diets instead of just treating symptoms and sentencing patients to a life of drugs.
We should be looking for root causes to illness and disease. And then we should be taking real care of our bodies.

Colin found this circuit on Instagram while I ran around getting ready to go to the gym at 6 am. I was running around because I had laid in bed whining & saying I was too tired to go, until I felt some fear of missing out and sucked it up and rose from the wrong side of the bed. I didn't regret it and was a much more pleasant person post workout. Move ya bod, even if you don't feel like it. @colinconway56

Super easy and satisfying dinner.
The longest part of preparing to sit down and dig in was arranging plates and Colin shining his phone flashlight on the table for a picture... I had prepped all the veggies ahead of time. I set my oven to 400 degrees, put coconut oil on 2 baking sheets, dumped 1/2 a bag of frozen broccoli onto one, sliced up 3 small sweet potatoes into 'fries' and 2 summer squashes into 1 inch slices. I seasoned them all with some Himalaya sea salt and Trader Joes 'everyday seasoning'. When we got back from the gym late we just needed to cook up some protein, I had a jalapeno chicken burger and he had 2 salmon burgers, both only take about 6m to cook. Bon Appetit!

While I LOVE to cook, there isn’t much better than coming home at 8pm after a LONG day of working & driving all around the city and being able to nicely plate a delicious meal that was already cooked for me! @soulfu3l - thanks for making my life a little easier.
