It's surprising as to how, he's being blamed for everything wrong that happens in the team. It's surprising how people of so many other countries realize the importance of this man and ask India to "give" him to them, and yet our own countrymen, leave no stone unturned to disrespect him or write him off after one or two not so great batting performances.
Whether this piece of information, will fit in all your tiny head or not, I don't know but here it goes.
I'm not saying Mahi played his best cricket with the bat in the last two matches, I know he struggled and just like how you'll see it, even I did. I'm not here to justify anything. Being his fan, that's one of the many things I've learnt from him. He's not here to prove a point to all you shitheads about his game or about the way he plays. He's never done that, he will never do that.
But if on the basis of one or two matches, you would want to question his contributions towards the team and make statements like, "he only plays for IPL", then trust me something is seriously wrong with you'll. He has been playing cricket for India for freaking 14 years, in case you've forgotten. So the next time you try to take away everything from him, just check his statistics, there are plenty. Well, he got 10,000 runs, 4 days back, batting at 5 or below almost all his career and you say he doesn't know to bat? Seriously? A guy who has got glory to this nation in more than a several occasions, and a couple of bad matches and you want to take everything away from him?
IPL and Indian Cricket team is not the same ball game. The pitch is different, the bowlers play differently and the format is played entirely differently and if you compare both and question Mahi's ability in shorter formats, when they're playing OUTSIDE INDIA, then you need to sit back and read up about cricket and then teach cricket to the man who's been playing the game for over 20 years now.
You can't respect him. Don't. At least keep your mouth shut. All you self proclaimed cricket experts, "He's been playing cricket ever since you kids have been in your diapers. So he doesn't need your advices on SNS and you don't have to worry about him."
