The #AppalachianTrail innervates the Blue Ridge Parkway, emerging from the trees to cross the highway at various points. At a pull-off alongside the road, we found one such junction. I’ve hiked on the AT at whiles and have been intrigued with trying the entirety of its 2100 some-odd miles as a continuous effort, but for the moment I had to be content with a photograph. Current responsibilities won’t allow me to take that much time and frankly I still am not sure if I want to hike when climbing objectives still elude me! In the short term, it’s fun to be near the trail because there are always people of every stripe who are seeking-and sacrificing to live their adventures, and that is something worth encountering.
