In her own words...." I’m an everyday working mum who, like so many people, had never got back into shape after having children. I didn’t know where to begin but knew I was running out of excuses, and seriously running out off breath chasing after my boys everyday 👎

I really disliked how my clothes were fitting and just didn’t feel healthy.Something had to be done! I stumbled across Steve’s page on Instagram and totally related to Amy’s situation. I was completely inspired by her body transformation as I followed each week.

I invested in a 8kg kettle bell, a foam exercise mat and a TRX. I had no clue what one of those was at the time but now I wouldn’t be without it.

The only way I could fit the exercise in was to get up early to workout. Yes, it was a total mission, but I got used to it and started seeing results so quickly. The diet part was easy to prepare and follow - prep was key for me though. I was never hungry - 3 meals per day and 2 snacks.

Transformation Tuesday || this is a recognition that Progress isn’t always linear! Fitness, for me, is a lifelong habit /lifestyle & there will be times when you can’t go at it as hard as you want! And other times when it all clicks, you’re working hard & getting great results.

Here I’m showing the Regresion I’ve made since my surgery from about 6 weeks ago on holiday after having worked hard on my physique & nutrition, to now about 2 1/2 weeks out of surgery. (Hernia repair)... Sometimes your fitness journey is like this:
2 steps forwards, 1 step back. 1 step forwards, 2 steps back... I guess the key is you don’t stop altogether and give up.

I’ll be going to the gym for the second time since my surgery today 😱.
Not for a hardcore workout, that would be mad! No, I will be moving at an equivalent to walking pace. Why? Because I don’t want to give up & stop altogether... I know that breaking the habit of exercising & going to the gym will make it much more difficult to pick back up when I’m able to.
With winter months looming let’s keep our fitness habits going - even if they’re not as hardcore as they might be on the run up to Summer - it’s good old persistence & consistency which wins in the long run 😊

I wanted to give you a Look into one of our mums strength training session from this morning. This Mum @ezzabell10 is getting married in 5 Weeks, Did the monkey bars last week, has come from not being able to do Push Ups/Bench Pressing/ Back Squats Due To a Bung Shoulder we have rehabbed 1 x a week. Trains twice a week, Drops off her daughter to the Crèche and gives 100%. It’s all about moving without pain, getting more energy, Getting Stronger/Mobile, Having a laugh and getting your Own time/Outlet.

- Looking after our selves teaches so much to our little humans 👶 it teaches them self respect, teaches them discipline, teaches them the benefits of exercise, teaches them about nutrition, teaches them consistency, there’s nothing bad little humans can learn from parents who live a healthy lifestyle. -
- However we all get down days about our physiques and it’s really important that we are careful about how we talk about that around our little humans. We want to teach our kids to love their bodies, hearing us talk negative about our bodies is teaching them to view them selves in a negative way. We can’t teach our kids to be happy in them selves and love the skin they are in, if we, their mums are calling our selves “fat” or “I hate my body” in front of them. If it’s ok for you to think so negative of your self then it’s ok for them too😳 we don’t want that ❌

- Teach your kids about a healthy life style and why it’s important, the health benefits of it. How good you can look is not an important part to teach them! We want our little humans to grow up and carry on with a healthy lifestyle and enjoy life and be happy within them selves and love them selves and that starts from you mum ☺️ (and daddy’s ov course).

- involve your little humans, talk to them, explain why you do what you do, teach them, show them, they don’t forget any life teaching points that they learn from you, it stays with them forever. So make sure what ever you do/say to them or say around them it’s not harmful to their thoughts and views, society today does enough damage on its own, don’t let it come from their home too 🙏🏼 .

- Just remember their little eyes are always watching you mumma and their little ears are always listening 👂. Be kind to your self and they will follow ✨ #selflove .

17-21 September 2018 WODs:
(As we approach Autumn equinox and it’s wet and windy, a sandy picture from a warmer and sunnier Summer Solstice)
I had planned this week to be a barbell week, but woke up this morning and the thought just wasn’t floating my boat - some mace and resistance band play did though - so that’s what we’ll be doing this week!

4x8:
Mace is 5kg: - 360’s
- shovel;
- Crescent moon;
- should press;
- side lunge;
- squats;
- bicep curl;
- tricep o/h extns. Fascinating how different some of these movements feel using an uneven weight - should press in particular. - resistance band fall-outs (not sure what else to call them!) band attached to something up high and held out in front with arms straight out and basically lean into the band forwards keeping arms and body straight and strong - going as low as you can/dare. Feels nice on the core.
