HOLIDAY written by Steven Gutierrez
In 1972, after sneaking aboard the Apollo 17 Mission, Penny became the first kid in space.
Presumed lost, she was abandoned at the conclusion of the final Apollo mission and left on the moon, but she was not alone. During the past 45 years, Penny has developed her own civilization on the dark side of the moon. By collecting parts from satellites, she's built her own space vehicle. Now, she's coming home, and with her, some new friends. One other thing, Penny hasn't aged a single day since she went missing.
As I write the story for Holiday, I listen to music. One song I gain inspiration from is Drops of Jupiter by Train. Here is a sample of the lyrical content:
Since the return of her stay on the moon
She listens like spring and she talks like June, hey, hey
But tell me did you sail across the sun
Did you make it to the Milky Way to see the lights all faded
And that heaven is overrated?
