The gym is a lot more than a place for pushing, pulling and squatting.
Instead, the gym can be seen as a miniature cosmos where we can make contact with our deepest feelings - feelings of fear, anxiety and despair.
It's an arena where we can tackle these deep feelings head on and prove that we have what it takes to conquer them.
But the gym is also a place where we can test the assumptions we have made about ourselves and the stories underlying them. It calls on us to respond to the greater struggles of life, of adversity and pain and insecurity.
In some ways, the gym even asks us to show who we really are - are we the kinda people who half-ass the tasks ahead of us, or do we keep pushing even when it looks like we're going to fail? In essence then, the gym is a testing ground for the body, mind and soul.

As an intermediate trainee, managing volume and intensity intelligently is crucial for continuous increases in both strength and muscle mass. That said, simply splitting your training up between strength days (higher intensity, lower volume) and hypertrophy days (lower intensity, higher volume) will suffice.
_
Once you’ve reached the advanced level, however, adding weight from week to week – or even month to month – becomes increasingly more challenging. This is why I recommend simply adding more work. This can be accomplished by increasing your training frequency in order to fit more volume into each session while still hitting each muscle group twice per week. A LPP routine where you undulate rep ranges can do the trick.

Here’s what that might look like:

Day 1: Legs (light), Day 2: Push (medium), Day 3: Pull (medium), Day 4: Rest, Day 5: Legs (heavy), Day 6: Push (light), Day 7: Pull (medium), Day 8: Rest, Day 9: Legs (medium), Day 10: Push (heavy), Day 11: Pull (light), Day 12: Rest, etc.

So we want our muscles to get bigger, right? (Sure, some of you don’t but this is still good info to have 😋)

In order to make them bigger, knowing what they are actually made of is super important. Im not talking about the cell structures here, I mean the real basic building blocks. I’ll save the more specific stuff for another post 🤓

Water makes up 75% of lean muscle tissue. Makes sense because water is the majority of the rest of our body too. So maybe getting that 3-4 litres in a day isn’t such a bad idea after all 😉
.
After that we have protein. 18 % is very significant. You’ve got to make sure you’re getting enough in your diet to satisfy the cellular demands
.
Rounding out the rest, we have fat, vitamins, minerals and some carbs, which all play their part in maintaining healthy muscle tissue.

Get the HIIT benefits. High Intensity Interval Training is extremely effective for fat loss. Moderate #cardio is also a good choice, but HIIT makes you burn more #calories in less time and you keep burning calories up to 72 hours after you finish. I recommend #HIIT 3 times a week. #bioelectricalimpedence is basically where #leaner tissue conducts #electricity faster than a body with higher fat.
It’s not as accurate as #dexascan due to the fact #waterretention isn’t taken in to account (but it’s waaaaaay better than going just on your body ‘weight’. When you first start your #fitness / #exercise journey you can easily be #demotivated by ‘gain’ in ‘weight’ when you’re trying to #loseweight.
Can’t wait to see the progress over the next two months 🤩🤩🤩 But the reality is if you’re #unexperienced you’re likely to be lacking in #musclemass .
Muscle is denser than #bodyfat therefore occupies less space in comparison to fat.
Increasing your muscle mass will be helpful in your weight loss journey as it will make your body burn more calories at rest (higher #metabolicrate ). #females, PLEASE do not think you are going to get #bulky by #weighttraining , because unless you take #testosteronesupplements / #steroids or have a #hormoneimbalance , you won’t put on that amount of muscle. *readings vary on bioelectrical impedence monitors AND weighing scales depending on #menstrualcycle stages

After eating about 6000 kcal a day for 10 days straight I managed to gain 7lbs. I know this won’t be all fat but it’s still gonna make a difference to your appearance.

Protein concentrated oats 💪🏼. It tastes as good as it looks guys ! .

Directions:
1. Boil 1 cup water.
2. Add in about 1 cup oats.
3. Stir until all thick (should be quick)...
4. Add in 2 egg whites (usually 1/2 a cup). 5.Keep turning the egg whites with a fork or spoon so that there are no clumps !
5. Add in 1/2 a scoop of chocolate protein .
6. Few dashes of Cinnamon.
7. Add 2 Splashes soya milk & stir.
9. Add in frozen blueberries and keep stiring (30 sec stir & 30 sec with lid to allow more cooking)..
10. Pour into a bowl & add more cinnamon & blueberries 💙.....
