Guess why today felt like my birthday??? Well...no. I didn't get to meet @juliaroberrts , or have any of my amazing children's stories published by the fantastic @bloomsburypublishing ( don't worry, there's still time Bloomsbury!) No. The answer is in my drawing. On the left is an illustration of my normal brain activity with ADHD. On the right was my brain today!! Now I know that to most of you, it's just a less squiggly line than the one on the left, but to people with #adhd#add#depression#anxiety#ocd. To name but a few, this is ... HOPE!! It's The Charlie bucket finding a coin in the snow. It's the rainbow in the rain. It's a time to be able to breath. To see through clear eyes. Seeing a horizon in front of you without a black fog blocking your senses!!!
Today was a good day.
I'm not writing this to be smug. I'm writing it to remind you that it does happen. Not as often as we'd like it but hey, if we had it all the time, we wouldn't the amazing unique creative beings that we are!!! I know I haven't met you, in this place called the internet so I don't really know any of you at all, but I truly believe that you rock!! Stay strong. Chin up and keep on keeping on . Much love @myscribblehead
“A boy with dreams becomes man with vision” Never stop dreaming, never stop trying and don’t complain about anything! Be yourself no matter what they say! You don’t have time in your life to be what anyone expects from you - you have to be the best version of yourself. If you shoot, aim high - if you miss, you’ll anyway touch the stars. JUST DREAM AND WORK HARD! This is mini me playing my father’s horn. About 10 years later I started playing as well. #solohorn
